It all began early in the spring of 2001 when a close friend and local restauratuer joined my husband and I for dinner at our home in Port Stanley. For dessert I had served my decadent Kahlua® Cake. One taste and Jimmy C. was quick to exclaim, "Donelda, this is to die for! A real killer dessert!" In no time at all , Jimmy was featuring my cakes, cheesecakes and other specialty desserts on his restaurant's menu. As their popularity snowballed, it became more evident that the only way I could keep up with the demand was to open a shop. What would I call this "in demand shop"? Why "KILLER DESSERTS©", of course.
Never one to settle for less than the best, my cheesecakes, cakes and cookies are made from scratch and are of impeccable quality and taste. I use low fat cream cheese in all of our cheesecakes and I assure you that using low fat ingredients does not affect the taste of the final product. Also, close to half of the seventy plus flavours on our menu can be prepared without sugar making them suitable for dietetic diets. Some of my desserts can be prepared without eggs, dairy or gluten to accommodate those with specific allergies or diets. Over the years, I have greatly expanded the variety of the gourmet products I carry. This is where the "and much, much more..." comes in. Most of our great products have been personally sampled by my staff and me, so that we can better assist you in making your selections. We also invite you to sample our products when visiting our store. Nothing pleases me more than working with brides-to-be to create a spectacular wedding cake for their most memorable of days. In fact, we love to create special moments for any occasion such as birthdays, anniversaries, showers, and more... each one deserves that special cake. Donelda |
